Wombles also was a force at the net defensively with 7.5 blocks, Alex Symanski had 4.5 blocks against returning 1st team all conference player Tessa Holland, and Maddie "Maddog" Merritt had 4 blocks. Rosensteel led in the backrow defensively with 18 digs.  The varsity team won in 3 sets 25-16,17-25,25-18.  JV recorded a 2 set victory 25-17, 25-18; and the freshmen came up a little short on a match that could not have been any closer 26-24, 26-28, 14-16.  The Lady Vikings will be back in action for their home opener on Thursday for Spencer Night.  The freshmen match will start at 5:00 pm.  In between the JV and varsity matches, there will be a short presentation about the Spencer Family as well as a serving contest and paper airplane contest. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.  Hope to see all you Viking fans there!
